The cooperation project AMi was originated to considerably improve the living conditions of those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease as well as their caregivers at home or at stationary facilities. By way of user-oriented design methods a practical tracking system based on GPS was created and adapted to fit the needs of the target group.

The FoSIBLE project – Fostering Social Interaction for the Well-Being of the Elderly – aims at research and development of new media for enabling more participation and quality of life for elderly people. By fostering social interaction of elderly people by means of innovative ICT the project wishes to contribute to improvements of the home living situation and to provide more quality of life, social embeddedness and independence in advanced age.
